Ribbon Roses.
Vintage Ribbon Rose craft instructions from Pat Depke, # PD-5503, dated 1984, 4 pages, by Jane Berry. These roses are just lovely. There are 5 styles of roses using a variety of ribbon lengths: Rolled Rose, Magic Rose, Cut Petal Rose, Swirl Rose and pointed Petal Rose. Instructions are well written, easy to follow and well illustrated. You can do these!!!
Ribbons have been rolled, wrapped or folded for many years to form delicate ribbon roses to enhance accent pieces in home decorating, and to adorn personal accessories, party favors, gift items and bridal accessories and decorations. Ribbon color and texture combinations are endless. To vary your ribbon roses, fold two ribbons of the same width and length together and work as if it were one piece. You may choose to use longer or shorter ribbon lengths which will vary the finished size of the rose. Mix solids with calicos, polka dots, checks, prints, velvets, etc. Also, such rubbons as solids and faces, or a combination of two prints can be mixed together for a delightful effect. If using a ribbon with a [attern on one side only, 2 pieces of the same pattern can be worked as one with the wrong sides together.
